Steven has worked within the fire and security industry for over 20 years working his way up from junior engineer to senior management. He has experienced many opportunities working within the UK and overseas, including traveling up and down the country, and building relationships that have all led to this moment of starting his own company, Confirmed Recruitment.
He wanted a change but didn’t want to leave the industry and therefore decided to delve into the world of recruitment, Steven says “it came to a point where I needed a change however, I didn’t want to leave my industry, I now speak to engineers across the country every day sharing experiences whilst also helping them in their next career move. It’s so rewarding making positive changes in other people’s lives. It’s exciting watching engineers progress, build in confidence and work their way up to be quality engineers”.
The importance of providing an engineer-to-engineer experience for his clients is crucial to Steven. From being an engineer himself he understands the level of expectations from his clients and can find the best talent to fulfill these needs. Steven believes that being relatable to his clients and candidates is key and adds “you must understand what their expectations are and put yourself in their shoes”.
His goal is to build a recruitment agency where clients and candidates can come to him and feel like they are in safe hands. Steven chooses to partner with Recruitment Entrepreneur because he believes in the RE team and model and trusts the tools that RE provides will be able to push Confirmed Recruitment to the next level.
